At Africa Child Foundation Mission of Tanzania (ACFMT), we believe that every tree planted is a promise to our future a living legacy that nurtures our children and heals our community. With heartfelt determination, we now invite you to join us in a transformative journey to re-green our schools, reconnect our youth with nature, and restore the spirit of Morogoro.

 Background: The Legacy of Morogoro Schools

For generations, the schools of Morogoro have been more than just places of learning they have been sanctuaries where nature and nurture met. Over the years, however, the encroachment of concrete and pollution has stripped away the greenery that once provided comfort and inspiration. Recognizing the deep emotional and ecological loss, local families, educators, and community leaders came together under the banner of ACFMT. Rooted in local tradition and driven by compassion, our initiative began as a grassroots movement to return life to our school yards. Today, we are proud to build on that legacy by planting hope, one tree at a time.

Program Goals and Expected Impact

Our initiative is designed not only to green our surroundings but to sow the seeds of environmental stewardship in every heart. Over the next 12 months, our goals are:

•       Plant 8,500 Trees in 30 Schools: Revitalize school grounds with native, climateadaptive species, creating vibrant green spaces for learning and play.

•       Engage 2,000 Young Minds: Through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions, empower students with the knowledge and passion to care for their environment.

•       Establish Sustainable School Nurseries: Set up dedicated tree nurseries within each school to ensure long-term care and growth of our green legacy.

•       Empower Educators: Equip teachers with resources and training to integrate environmental education into their daily lessons, inspiring future generations to be nature’s guardians.

•       Strengthen Community Bonds: Involve parents, local leaders, and community members in collaborative events, turning each school into a hub of environmental activism and shared responsibility.

Budget Breakdown: Every Contribution Helps Nature Flourish

To nurture this vision, we are seeking $80,000 in funding. Every dollar will directly help create a lasting impact:

1. Tree Seedlings and Nursery Setup – $20,000

a.     $11,000 for sourcing and transporting resilient tree seedlings

b.    $6,000 for establishing school-based nurseries

c.     $3,000 for essential gardening tools and materials

2. School Engagement and Student Training – $14,000

a.     $6,000 for educational materials and hands-on learning kits

b.    $4,000 to facilitate workshops for 2,000 students and 70 teachers

c.     $4,000 for logistics and safe transportation during school events

3. Tree Planting Events – $18,000

a.     $12,000 to organize 30 community-driven planting days

b.    $4,000 for awards and recognition to celebrate student heroes

c.     $2,000 for post-planting care kits to nurture young trees

4. Community and Stakeholder Engagement – $10,000

a.     $6,000 for public awareness campaigns and community meetings

b.    $4,000 to support environmental clubs and school competitions

5. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting – $8,000

a.     $5,000 for regular field visits and impact assessments

b.    $3,000 for comprehensive data collection and transparent reporting

6. Administrative and Operational Costs – $10,000

a.     $7,000 for dedicated project coordination and local staffing

b.    $3,000 for office supplies, communications, and miscellaneous expenses
